I have always been inspired by beautiful landscape photographs and the desire to be able to capture nature the way I see it. Early in 2010 I decided to make an effort to acquire the skills required to create the images I envisioned and started reading hundreds of books and articles on photography. I studied countless landscape photographs and photographers and experimented with various styles and techniques in order to grow my own personal style. This is a journey though, not a destination, and I expect my style to grow and change as I gain more experience and knowledge.
My inspiration comes from nature itself, and the desire to show the beauty of a scene unspoiled by the human presence. Although some of my photos do include human elements, I do my best work when looking at a scene and imagining the eons that must have passed to shape a rock, carved a coastline or elevated a mountain range to create the scene I’m about to capture.
